The MINITEX Library Information Network recently announced the names of the databases that will be included in the new iteration of the Electronic Library for Minnesota (ELM). The databases will be available at no charge to Minnesota residents from July 1, 2004 - June 30, 2007.What's new? Until the new ELM package is available, EBSCO is graciously extending its trial access until June 30, 2004. What's going away? Of special note to the University community is the coming cancellation of Expanded Academic Index. It is worth noting that its replacement, Academic Search Premier, has many more full text titles (4,600 in ASP vs. 1,900 in EAI). The following titles from these vendors will no longer be available via ELM:
How can I access ELM? University of Minnesota affiliates can log in using their U of M Internet ID/password. All other Minnesota residents can access ELM via their public library or the MnLINK Gateway; for more detailed instructions, and a complete title list, check the ELM site.
