EthicShare: A Collaborative Virtual Community

The Research Project

This grant is funded by the Council on Library and Information Resources [CLIR] with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation

December 2006 - June 2007

During the proposed 6-month period of the planning grant, the EthicShare project is exploring the development of a virtual community site for the field of Bioethics/Practical Ethics. Tthe University of Minnesota's Center for Bioethics and the University Libraries are leading the project in partnership with four other institutions:

Our objectives during the planning grant are to identify a system platform, user requirements/site features, and community involvement strategies necessary to build a sustainable community-managed site for the field of bioethics (a subset of practical ethics).
