NO FOOD IS PERMITTED IN THE LIBRARIES.
We need to keep library materials, computer equipment and furnishings in good condition
for you and future users. Food and food residue, such as oil and sugar, attracts rodents
and insects
- Drinks in spill-proof mugs or pop-up sports bottles are permitted, at library study tables and carrels only, unless the area or library is posted "No food or drink."
Food and drinks will destroy or damage computer equipment, disks,
books, equipment, and furnishings. Drinks are limited to study tables and
carrels only. Bookmarks illustrating the acceptable drink containers are
available at all library circulation desks.
Do not bring drinks into areas posted "No Food or Drink" regardless of
the type of container you have.
- People who disregard the policy will be asked to either put their food or unacceptable
drink container away or leave the library.
Library Staff want to provide you with the best possible service in comfortable
surroundings. Enforcing the food/drink policy takes staff time away from their work--
providing service to you!
Thank you for following this policy.
The libraries reserve the right to suspend this
policy for special library events.
