About me

After receiving my Masters in Library and Information Studies, I was the E. Ph. Goldschmidt Fellow at Rare Book School at the University of Virginia. I began my library career at the University of California, San Diego, first as Special Collections Cataloger then as Head of Technical Services for Special Collections and the Classical Studies Bibliographer for the Social Sciences and Humanities Library. I moved back to the University of Minnesota as the Archivist for the Charles Babbage Institute, where I worked for three and a half years before assuming my current position.

As Head of Special Collections, Rare Books, and Manuscripts - a unit of the Department of Archives and Special Collections - I aim to support library staff in the development and promotion of several significant collections: the Givens African-American Literature Collection, the Tretter GLBT Collection, the Northwest Architectural Archives, the Upper Midwest Performing Arts Archives, the Sherlock Holmes Collection, Rare Books, Literary Manuscripts, and several other special collections.
