Downtime of Library Systems: November 15, 2009
Due to necessary OIT configuration changes to a critical networking component, a number of university and library systems will experience downtime on Sunday November 15, 2009 from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. For more information on this outage in general please see IT Outage on November 15, 2009.
Library Systems that WILL BE UNAVAILABLE for the duration of scheduled downtime:
- Find It / E-Journals A-Z / Citation Finder
- Libraries OneSearch / article search box through Undergraduate Virtual Library, MNCAT Plus and myU portal (MetaLib)
- Get It, Recalls, Renewals, Your Account, and any catalog system that requires authentication.
- UThink blogs
Library Systems EXPECTED TO REMAIN AVAILABLE:
- Libraries Web Site -- the Twin Cities University Libraries main web site (www.lib.umn.edu) will be a minimized version presenting most-frequently used links only, including access to Indexes and MNCAT (Plus and Classic). Unit and departmental web sites (*.lib.umn.edu), such as busref.lib.umn.edu or sciweb.lib.umn.edu, and the Bio-Medical Library web site (www.biomed.lib.umn.edu) will remain completely available.
- MNCAT Plus (QuickSearch in Duluth): Searching the local catalog will be available. However, the Articles tab, E-Journal access via SFX, and any feature requiring authentication (e.g., eShelf, Get It, Your Account) will be unavailable from 5am - 9am
- MNCAT Classic (catalogs for all campuses): Searching the local catalog will be available. However, E-Journal access via SFX and any feature requiring authentication (e.g., Get It, Recalls, Renewals, Your Account) will be unavailable from 5am - 9am
