Stage 17: Submitting Dissertation

Why is this stage important?

This is one of the most satisfying, concrete stages in this process. You will complete the final tasks and reach a clear conclusion.

Step 1: Locate your final checklist of Doctoral Degree requirements for Graduation on the University of Minnesota Graduate School Web Site

Step 2: If you have not already done so, apply for graduation using the Commencement Information

Step 3: Make a final, clean copy of your thesis.

Step 4: Submit your thesis to the Graduate School and complete forms.

Step 5: Order bound copies of your thesis. The Graduate School requires that you submit one unbound copy of the dissertation. The Graduate School can provide information about having additional copies bound for your advisor, your family, and yourself.
