STUDENT PREPARATION
Does the student need to have certain skills or knowledge before this assignment is assigned or the lesson plan completed? Are there reading materials you would recommend?

Suggested Resource:

1. To provide a foundation of research/information literacy skills, assign students to a particular module of the University Libraries' tutorial, "QuickStudy: Library Research Guide" and make the quiz at the end mandatory (http://tutorial.lib.umn.edu/). Alternatively, send your students to a library workshop where they will pick up a certificate that will inform you that they completed the class.
