County Business Patterns (U.S. Census) County Business Patterns is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. The series is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses. Businesses use the data for analyzing market potential, measuring the effectiveness of sales and advertising programs, setting sales quotas, and developing budgets. Government agencies use the data for administration and planning. County Business Patterns covers most of the country's economic activity. The series excludes data on self-employed individuals, employees of private households, railroad employees, agricultural production employees, and most government employees. The County Business Patterns program has tabulated on a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) basis since 1998. Data for 1997 and earlier years are based on the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) System.
This series has been published annually since 1964 and at irregular intervals dating back to 1946. The comparability of data over time may be affected by definitional changes in establishments, activity status, and industrial classifications.

Global Financial Data ![]() The Global Financial Database is a collection of financial and economic data provided in ASCII or Excel format. There are 20,000 historical or current data series which may be downloaded directly from the web site. Global coverage includes stocks, bonds, treasury bills, interest rates, commodity prices, CPI, GDP, exchange rates, indexes, population and more. Looking for historical stock prices? Global Market Information Database (Student and Staff) ![]() The Global Market Information Database (GMID) is an integrated on-line information system providing key business intelligence on countries, companies, markets, and consumers. Statistics and profiles on 205 countries worldwide, lifestyle reports for 52 countries, market size for more than 330 consumer products in 52 countries, 3,500 market reports offering strategic analysis for consumer, industrial and service sectors, and profiles of 3,000 leading fast-moving consumer goods companies. Note that this database is contractually restricted by the publisher to University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students and staff only; the public is authorized to use the version of the database called Countries and Consumers. Globus and National Trade Data Bank (NTDB) GLOBUS (Global Business Opportunities) offers daily trade leads from the Trade Opportunities Program (TOPS), as well as the Department of Agriculture. GLOBUS also offers daily procurement activity from the Defense Logistics Agency, the United Nations, and the Commerce Business Daily leads. The NTDB (National Trade Data Bank) provides access to Country Commercial Guides, Market Research reports, Best Market reports and other programs. The International Trade Library is a comprehensive collection of over 40,000 documents related to international trade. All are full text searchable, as well as keyword searchable by country or product.

Health Economic Evaluations Database ![]() The Health Economic Evaluations Database (HEED) covers worldwide bibliographic citations and economic evaluations of medicines, medical interventions and other treatments as well as studies on the cost of illness. It also contains over 700 non-English language economic evaluations and assesses all the major European Languages as well as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. The database contains more than 33,500 evaluations that have been selected by health economists for use by health economists. The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most cases, from 2 to 5 years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR. KLD Socrates ![]() Socrates provides ratings on corporate social and environmental responsibility in the form of statistics, data, and reports. KLD Stats ![]() KLD STATS provide a snapshot of corporate responsibility ratings over the course of 15 years, making it an excellent resource for comparative CSR research over time.
