 Includes access to major directories for residential listings, businesses, and nonprofits. Includes U.S. Businesses a database of 14 million locations and the Canadian Businesses of 1.5 million companies. ReferenceUSA business directories are good for locating smaller businesses and franchise locations. Both business databases include search criteria for locating private and public companies using criteria such as location, size, industry, headquarters, etc. Other directories available include the U.S. Residential database of 210 million households and the Canadian Residential database of 12 million households. The HealthCare database lists 675,000 doctors and 180,000 dentists in the United States.

- International Data Base (IDB) - Census Bureau
The International Data Base (IDB) is a source of demographic and socio-economic statistics for 227 countries and areas of the world. The IDB combines data from individual countries with U.S. Census Bureau estimates and projections to provide information from 1950 to 2050.

 Full-text business news, and company and financial information from emerging markets in Latin America, Asia and Europe. Includes corporate profiles, financial statements and earnings estimates, industry and analyst reports, capital market quotes and indices, macroeconomic statistics and forecasts, legal and regulatory information, and opinion polls from the following emerging markets: Baltic States (including Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic (including Slovakia), Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia (including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), Turkey, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, China, India, South Korea and Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand). While many documents are in English, some are in their native language. Much of the financial and economic data is downloadable in a spreadsheet-ready format. Dates of coverage vary. News coverage extends back 5 years. Other documents are most recent only.
- SourceOECD
 SourceOECD is the online publications portal of the 30-country Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. It contains the full text of all OECD publications and statistical databases. Statistics generally cover 1960 - present; some earlier years may be available. Statistics also focus primarily on member countries. See Getting Started With SourceOECD for help using SourceOECD.
- UNdata
This database provides international statistics on all major social and economic subjects. It replaces the older database "UN Common Database" which will be discontinued in mid-2008.
- World Development Indicators
The Web, book, and CD-ROM from the World Bank provides 500 time-series indicators for 210 economies plus regional and income groups. It provides definitions, source information, and all text from current and previous print editions. The CD-ROM lets you retrieve data in spreadsheet format, display maps and graphs, and export data into many popular formats. Off-site access is available through the web version --which is called WDI Online-- for students, staff, faculty at the University of Minnesota. - MedlinePlus
MedlinePlus has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 590 diseases and conditions. There are also lists of hospitals and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and dictionaries, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials.
- PubMed - U of M Students, Staff & Faculty
 Primary source of journal article access for the health sciences - the campus version provides full text access to all Medline e-journals subscribed to by the University of Minnesota TC Libraries.
- Health Economic Evaluations Database
 The Health Economic Evaluations Database (HEED) covers worldwide bibliographic citations and economic evaluations of medicines, medical interventions and other treatments as well as studies on the cost of illness. It also contains over 700 non-English language economic evaluations and assesses all the major European Languages as well as Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. The database contains more than 33,500 evaluations that have been selected by health economists for use by health economists.

 This resource is licensed by the MINITEX Library Information Network with state appropriations from the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office (MHESO) and the Minnesota Department of Education. The world's largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,600 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.
- Web of Science (ISI)
 Web of Science is the Web interface for the ISI Citation Index products which cover over 11,000 international journals in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Titles of the print equivalent are: Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Science Citation Index, and Social Sciences Citation Index. Coverage runs from 1975 to the present. Basic truncation symbol is the asterisk: *.

 LexisNexis Academic is a collection of online databases: News, Business (plus corporate news and corporate financials), Legal, Medical, and Reference. International news sources are included.

 This resource is licensed by the MINITEX Library Information Network with state appropriations from the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office (MHESO) and the Minnesota Department of Education. MasterFILE Premier, designed specifically for public libraries, provides full text for more than 2,000 general periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues and much more. In addition to the full text, this database provides indexing and abstracts for 2700 titles.
