| About the Business Library and Business Collections in Wilson Library |
The Business Library collection is located in the basement of Wilson Library between the Periodicals Room collections of journals and the Government Publications collection. Visit the Business and Government Information Desk to get assistance in finding and using library and Web resources.
Electronic sources, printed sources, and other library materials are available on all traditional business subjects. Emphasis is placed on subjects taught in the Carlson School of Management. These include:
- Accounting and financial reporting
- Business, Government and Society
- Finance and financial markets
- Healthcare administration
- Human resource management and industrial relations
- Information and decision science
- Insurance
- International and multinational business
- Logistics management
- Management and organizational theory and behavior
- Marketing and advertising management
- Operations management and quality management
- Taxation
Business books available for circulation are interfiled with other social science and humanities books in the Wilson Libarry collection. These books are located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of Wilson Library, depending on their classification numbers.
Printed copies of journals are available in the basement of Wilson Library near the Business Reference desk. Many times you can also get electronic full text of the articles you need -- check our listing on our home page under Business & Economics Indexes and Databases.
While our primary mission is to serve students and faculty of the Carlson School of Management,
our
mission extends to serve the students, faculty and staff of the University of
Minnesota, and, in so far as possible given limited resources, students and faculty from other Minnesota educational institutions, and the residents of Minnesota.
