    A catalog of conference proceedings owned by the University of Minnnesota Twin Cities libraries that is searchable by keyword.

  • eFunda
    eFunda stands for engineering fundamentals. It includes a variety of information and data in areas such as materials, processes, units/constants, and formulas.
  • Index of Chemical Properties
    An index to chemistry reference books at the U of M; when you select a substance and then a specific property, provides the titles of potential (mostly print) information sources.
  • NIST Data Gateway
    Provides access to collection of more than 80 databases of well-documented numeric data (including the NIST Chemistry WebBook and other sources of chemical and physical properties) from the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST). The data are from a variety of scientific disciplines including biotechnology, chemistry, materials science, mathematical modeling, physics, and more. Searchable by keywords, properties, and substances.
  • Science and Engineering Indicators 2006
    Provides a broad base of quantitative information and analysis regarding science, engineering, research, and education in the United States; also offers comparative information on science and technology in other countries.
  • Statistical Abstract of the United States
    As the National Data Book it contains a collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. Selected international data are also included. The Abstract is also your Guide to sources of other data from the Census Bureau, other Federal agencies, and private organizations (see example table). The online version has full text from 1995-, although the series as a whole starts in 1878.

    • Encyclopedia of Chromatography Authentication Required
      Includes more than 400 articles on a variety of chromatographic techniques. Covers methodology, instrumentation, and applications.
    • Encyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry Authentication Required
      This updated edition of the Encyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry covers the following areas of inorganic chemistry: Main Group Elements; Transition Metals and Coordination Chemistry; Organometallic Chemistry; Bioinorganic Chemistry; Solid State, Materials, Nanomaterials and Catalysis; and General Inorganic Chemistry, Theoretical and Computational Methods.

      Written by prominent scholars from industry, academia, and research institutions, the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology presents a wide scope of articles on chemical substances including their properties, manufacturing, and uses. It also focuses on industrial processes and unit operations in chemical engineering, as well as covering fundamentals and scientific subjects related to the field. Additionally, environmental and health issues concerning chemical technology are also addressed.

      ASM Handbooks Online(The Metals Handbook), a large database covering metals property and performance data, is the place to start for data on metals and includes all 21 ASM Handbook volumes and two ASM Desk Editions.
    • CHEMnetBASE Authentication Required
      CHEMnetBASE is a reference source for locating chemical facts, properties, literature references, and for performing structure searching. All dictionaries are sub-structure searchable as is Properties of Organic Compounds.       ENGnetBASE is an online reference source providing access to over 600 handbooks published by CRC Press. The handbooks include a wide variety of titles on engineering specialties, including Civil Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, HVAC, Nanotechnology, and more. Users can either browse the table of contents of each individual handbook or use keyword searching to retrieve and display related full-text information. Full- text results are displayed in .pdf format.
