Get Copies of Articles
The University of Minnesota Libraries offer several options for alumni who wish to obtain journal articles from the University Libraries' collections.
- The University Libraries offer special services that will copy and deliver journal articles directly to you for a fee. Turnaround times and delivery methods can be tailored to fit your needs. The service you choose will depend on the type of information you need.
The Biomedical Information Service (BIS) specializes in health and medical information. Services include document delivery, in-depth research, and library classes. BIS serves over 15,000 corporate, international, and individual clients, including health care firms, law firms, medical technology companies, consultants, and individuals.
ESTIS (Engineering, Science, and Technology Information Service) provides a broad range of information, specializing in scientific and business information but including the humanities and social sciences as well. Clients include corporate libraries, information brokers, scientific, business, and legal professionals, and individuals.
- Everyone is welcome to use our collections on-site, including photocopiers for patron use. Some libraries also have copy centers that may provide additional copying services. Alumni may be interested in using the Gopher Gold card (see http://www1.umn.edu/ucard/umtc/tcg4g.html for more information) to pay for copies.
