Vision

The University Libraries are a strategic asset for the University, providing intellectual leadership and extraordinary information experiences toward the advancement of knowledge.

Mission

The University Libraries inspire learning and discovery through information resources, collaboration, and expertise.

2007-2008 Goal Themes

1. The Libraries develop, preserve, and provide access to premier collections and extend our expertise to support content creators and managers within the University community.

2. The Libraries collaborate in planning with collegiate units, developing cost effective programs responsive to disciplines and interdisciplinary communities.

3. The Libraries develop programs, services, and collaborative learning environments to support critical inquiry and the learning process.

4. The Libraries design and promote versatile digital information systems and services that integrate critical content and tools to enhance user access and productivity.

5. The Libraries partner in research, supporting discovery and stimulating interdisciplinary collaboration through innovative programs, spaces, facilities, and technologies.

6. The Libraries promote innovation, collaboration, communication, and leadership to develop and sustain an effective workforce and efficient organization.
