Creating PDF Files from PowerPoint for Windows
These instructions assume you have CutePDF Writer installed. CutePDF Writer is a free utility http://www.cutepdf.com/.
- Note the poster Width and Height in the Page Setup dialog under the File menu.

- Choose Print... under the File menu.

- Set the Printer to "Cute PDF" and click on Properties.
- In the Layout tab, click on the Portrait radio button. Then click on Advanced...

- In the Paper Size drop down box select Postscript Custom Page Size.

- The Postscript Custom Page Size Definition appears. Set the
Width to the short dimension of your poster and the Height to the long
dimension. Click OK.

- Set these parameters in the Advanced Options to the following values:
- Print Quality = 600dpi
- TrueType Font = Download as Softfont
- TrueType Font Download Option = Automatic
- Assign a file name, choose a location, and click Save to create your PDF file. Be sure to check your results using the instructions found here.
