Student Writing Support provides free writing help for all University of Minnesota students at all stages of the writing process. Our purpose is to help you, the student, develop the skills necessary to improve your own writing.
Student writing consultants can:
- Help you get started on papers and other writing projects
- Provide constructive feedback on drafts
- Assist you in learning and understanding the writing process
- Teach you how to revise, edit, and proofread your own work
Student Writing Support is not a proofreading service; we do not check your grammar nor edit your papers for you. Instead, writing consultants teach you strategies to revise and edit your own work.
