Director of Libraries Human Resources and Organization Development
It’s the Libraries Human Resources and OD director’s job to negotiate the tricky task of keeping all employees, managers, and the University of Minnesota's central office of human resources happy with each other. From the moment new staff start working at the library until years after you’ve parted ways, I work to make sure your job goes smoothly so you can concentrate on what is important. Examples of what I do include: incorporating best practices for selection and hiring of employees as well as salary decisions, ensuring attention to detail and compliance related to laws, legislation, policies, rules and contract compliance, coach supervisors on employee relations issues, and work with the Organization Development and Learning Associate on the needs of the organization making it the best it can be.
The Libraries Organization Development department consists of myself, three HR Generalists and one Organization Development and Learning Associate.
