Welcome to the Andersen Horticultural Library

The Andersen Horticultural Library (AHL) is located at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, Minnesota, housed on the main floor of the Leon C. Snyder Building.  There is an admission fee for entry into the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, which is waived for people who are Arboretum members or who come exclusively to do research in the Andersen Horticultural Library.

We are a reading and reference library; our items do not circulate.  AHL's holdings can be searched by using the University Libraries' catalog, MNCATWiFi is available and staff can assist with making copies.  Some items from our collection, such as rare books, archives, and historic seed and nursery catalogs, can be viewed only by appointment.

StoryTime is held every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  Books featured include topics such as gardening, animals, nature and other seasonal themes.
