3D Printing + Makerspaces
Wednesday, February 26 3:00 - 4:30pm
Walter Library 101
3D Printing and other forms of desktop fabrication are becoming more accessible to more people every day. How can these technologies be used as part of research and teaching in a University environment? In this DASH event, we will hear from representatives from different spaces on campus that use 3D printing and other fabrication technologies. They will talk about what kinds of technology they have in the lab, who has access to it, and for what kinds of purposes faculty, students, and staff use it -- for research, for teaching, and for fun. We will also discuss these and other technologies as part of the maker movement and makerspaces, community-focused sites of interaction, design, and building. Come with your ideas and questions!
