Frequently Asked Questions

Can Friends of the Library check out books or use interlibrary loan services?

Answer:

Members of the Friends of the Library can obtain library borrowing privileges through their membership. Unfortunately, University Libraries' interlibrary loan services (borrowing from other institutions materials that are not owned at the University) are reserved for University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus students, faculty, and staff only. This restriction is largely based on the extraordinary costs of providing these services.
