What should I do if I can't find my book or journal in MNCAT?

Answer:

You can request the item from the Libraries' Interlibrary Loan service or, if you think the item might still be in MNCAT and you just haven't been able to find it, ask us and we'll help you search for it. Obviously, getting the item from another institution via Interlibrary Loan will take longer than finding the item in the University's collections.
  • To request the item from Interlibrary Loan, go to the following site, login with your University Internet ID and password and complete the form: https://umn.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html
  • For assistance searching for the item in MNCAT, click the "Ask Us!" link from the Libraries' home page or directly at: http://infopoint.lib.umn.edu
  • You may also go to or contact any campus library for assistance. A list of campus libraries and their web pages and locations is available at: http://www.lib.umn.edu/about/hours.phtml
