Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the online version of the Chronicle of Higher Education?

Answer:

The University campus community can access the current edition of the Chronicle of Higher Education in three ways — at no cost to the individual. Simply create a free Chronicle account using your University of Minnesota email address. We have an institutional subscription which can be access through the following:

1. From an iPad: Download the Chronicle’s iPad editions. Download the Chronicle’s iPad app.
2. Access the Chronicle using the Web browser of your smart phone or tablet device.
3. Get direct access to the Chronicle of Higher Education from any computer and any location in the world without having to go through a proxy server.

We also have access to older content through a variety of databases which can be searched and we have it in print in the Wilson Library, basement level, with older issues on microfilm.
