How do I access library research databases from off-campus?

Answer:

Getting Access Off-Campus

When you use links from our site, Libraries Search, or our guides you'll be able to access resources whether you're on campus or off. You will need to enter your U of M ID which will allow you access to licensed databases. If you prefer to access resources through other search engines, save the Libraries' Proxy Bookmarklet to your browser and click on it to reload the page as a U of M affiliate.

Users with Off-campus Access

Off-campus access to licensed library databases is available to

  • Current students (i.e., those registered for at least one credit or the GRAD 999 zero-credit registration option)
  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Retirees

See the Borrowing Privileges & Fines page for further details.
