Frequently Asked Questions

Do the Libraries use cookies to track how people use the Libraries' Web resources? If so, do you keep information on individuals or do you delete this?

Answer:

The Libraries make limited use of cookies but not to track how people use the Libraries. We use cookies to "maintain state" or remember key settings that you choose. This helps to make your Web session run more effectively with less information to retype. An example of this can be seen in the "Contact Info" part of our interlibrary loan form (as well as some other forms). After entering in your Internet ID and password, certain information is automatically loaded into the form, leaving less work for you to do. This information is not kept or shared with anyone.
