Frequently Asked Questions

Can a student or staff member check books out in a professor's name?

Answer:

A student or staff member who works for a professor can check books out in that professor's name by obtaining a Proxy Card, so that the books are checked out to the professor and not to the student or staff member. To get a Proxy Card the student or staff member must fill out the application form.

The card is good for a year, after which a new form will be required if the same student or staff member is still working for the same professor.

If the person is working for more than one professor, the person can get a proxy card for each of them, but each professor will have to sign a separate form. Bring the form to the Circulation Desk.
