My book wasn't on the shelf. Now what do I do?

Answer:

If the book you are looking for is not on the shelf at the location indicated in MNCAT (http://mncat.lib.umn.edu/), and it is not listed as being "Checked out," "On Order," "In Process," "Sent to Binder," "Cataloging," or otherwise, then you are encouraged to request a "Search."

Search requests may be submitted in-person at any library Circulation Desk. This page gives the hours and phone numbers for campus library Circulation Desks:
