    The American Indian Health web site, is "an information portal to issues affecting the health and wellbeing of American Indians." Hosted by the National Library of Medicine, the site provides governmental information listed by general topic and includes good links to other web-based resources.
  • American Indian History and Related Issues
    This site is "...dedicated to the presentation of unique artwork, photographs, video and sound recordings which accurately reflect the history, culture and richness of the Native American experience in North America and has been expanded to include Indian people of Central America and Mexico." A good set of links and information for starting any research project.
  • Health of Native People of North America
    Health of Native People of North America: An Annotated Mediagraphy, Part I (1993) and Health of Native People of North America: An Annotated Mediagraphy, Part II (1998) These mediagraphies are published online courtesy of the MC Journal: The Journal of Academic Media Librarianship. The site allows a keyword database search for other articles and mediagraphies relating to Indian peoples.
  • CANKPE OPI - Wounded Knee Home Page
    CANKPE OPI - Wounded Knee Home Page contains important information and links on this historic event. "The contents of this page are approved by traditional elders on the Pine Ridge and Cheyenne River reservations."
  • Cherokee Messenger
    Contains important information and links on the Trail of Tears from the Cherokee Messenger.
  • Native American Legal Resources
    The Native American Legal Resources site actually opens two of the University of Oklahoma Law Center's pages: The American Indian Law Review page includes legislation, statutes and treaties, table of cases, subject and tribal indexes as well as a directory and other information. The Native American Constitution and Law Digitization Project is a wonderful resource, still under construction and containing a wealth of important information and documents already. This provides full-text of the constitutions, tribal codes and other legal documents for the over 500 federally recognized tribes. It also gives links to other important documents, summaries of recent Indian law cases before the US Supreme Court, links to additional resources, etc.
  • Native American Sites
    Established and maintained by Lisa Mitten of the University of Pittsburgh, the site's "...goal is to provide access to home pages of individual Native Americans and Nations, and to other sites that provide solid information about American Indians."
  • Native Trails
    A rich source of information on Canadian Native Americans.
  • Alcatraz
    A photographic history of the 1969-1971 occupation of Alcatraz Island by Indians of All Tribes, Inc.
