CEPR Discussion Papers Authentication Required
The The Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) network consists of over 750 Research Fellows and Affiliates based in over 237 different institutions in 28 countries (90% in the European Union). Because it draws on such a large network of researchers, CEPR is able to produce a wide range of research that reflects a broad spectrum of individual viewpoints and perspectives. County Business Patterns (U.S. Census)
County Business Patterns is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. The series is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses.

Businesses use the data for analyzing market potential, measuring the effectiveness of sales and advertising programs, setting sales quotas, and developing budgets. Government agencies use the data for administration and planning.

County Business Patterns covers most of the country's economic activity. The series excludes data on self-employed individuals, employees of private households, railroad employees, agricultural production employees, and most government employees. The County Business Patterns program has tabulated on a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) basis since 1998. Data for 1997 and earlier years are based on the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) System.

This series has been published annually since 1964 and at irregular intervals dating back to 1946. The comparability of data over time may be affected by definitional changes in establishments, activity status, and industrial classifications.

Current Index to Statistics -- Extended Database Authentication Required
Current Index to Statistics Extended Database is the Internet version of Current Index to Statistics, Applications, Methods and Theory, from the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. CIS is a bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields. It includes coverage, in most cases from 1974 (or first issue if later) to the present (currently, volumes published in 1998) from 106 "core journals" (and pre-1974 coverage for a number of them), selected articles since 1974 from about 900 additional journals, and about 8000 books in statistics published since 1974. Each year, the CIS-ED is updated with an additional year of coverage.

DOAJ Directory of Open Access Journals (OA) Authentication Required
Directory of Open Access Journals covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals of all subjects and languages. There are 5625 journals in the directory. Currently 2398 journals are searchable at the article level; ~468,000 articles are included in the DOAJ service.
