Online Publications
  • E-collection - Canadian Depository Government Publications Online
    This web site lists all electronic depository government publications from the Canadian Government. Publications marked with a red triangle are available only to users accessing the internet via a University of Minnesota connection. All other publications are freely available to everyone.
  • Electronic Collection of the Library and Archives Canada
    The Electronic Collection of Library and Archives Canada (LAC) consists of Canadian books and periodicals published online. It includes more than 13,000 titles and more than 45,935 serial issues published by both the commercial publishing sector and the government publishing sector. The archived publications exist in various formats, including HTML, PDF, ASCII and LIT, i.e., the format in which they were produced. Some titles are labelled "Restricted Access" and are only accessible through LAC staff or by using the public Internet workstations in the Library Reference Room.

    Canadian Industry Statistics presents Canadian and U. S. industry trends from 1990 to 1998. Data are provided on production, investment, employment and trade. Industry Canada
  • Canadian Statistics
    This selection of summary tables provides an overview of statistical information on Canada's people, economy and governments. Users may explore the tables by keyword searching or by browsing from menus. Most information is provided at the national level, but some provincial and metropolitan area statistics are also available.
    • Index of downloadable Statistics Canada publications
      Subjects covered include education, commerce, transportation, industry, census counts, and employment. Most information is current or for the last ten years. Most publications are in .pdf format.
      Items marked with a red triangle are priced publications available for free only to depository libraries. To access them, users must use a computer on the University campus. The publications may be purchased from Statistics Canada. All unmarked items are freely available to any internet user, regardless of affiliation or location.
