General National Accounts
  • International Financial Statistics Authentication Required
    International Financial Statistics (IFS) is the electronic version of the International Monetary Fund's standard source of statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance from more than 200 IMF countries. It contains approximately 32,000 time series of financial and economic data. Topics covered include exchange rates, IMF postion, international liquidity, money and banking accounts, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, national accounts, and population. The database contains annual, monthly, and quarterly data going back as far as 1945. Data output formats include CSV, Excel. HTML, and TAB delimited.

  • OECD iLibrary Authentication Required
    OECD iLibrary is the online publications portal of the 34-country Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. OECD iLibrary is OECD’s Online Library for Books, Papers and Statistics and the gateway to OECD’s analysis and data. It replaces SourceOECD, and hosts all content so users can find - and cite - tables and databases as easily as articles or chapters. Video User Guide.
  • UNdata
    This database provides international statistics on all major social and economic subjects. It replaces the older database "UN Common Database" which will be discontinued in mid-2008.
  • WDI Online
    WDI (World Development Indicators) Online contains statistics for over 550 indicators from 1960 for over 200 countries and 18 country groups. Subjects include: social welfare, economies, natural resources, and the environment. Data may not be available for all years for all countries.
  • World Economic Outlook Database
    The WEO database from the International Monetary Fund is created during the biannual World Economic Outlook (WEO) exercise, which begins in January and June of each year and results in the WEO publication, which is released in May and October. Selected series that are available in the publication are now available on this website at the time of the release of the WEO press version (late April and September). If necessary, these figures will be revised in order to maintain consistency with the published World Economic Outlook. NOTE: GDP and GDP per capita for all countries in current prices from 1970 (where data available) can be viewed from here.

    This United Nations publication is produced by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The online information isn't exactly the same as the printed editions,as some of it can be accessed through an interactive database (which requires free registration). The FDI Country Profiles provide the most detailed information for the longest period of time, but these are PDF pages only.
