  • Minnesota Road Traveler Information Service
    The Minnesota Department of Transportation introduces 511, a service to help commuters and travelers access information regarding weather-related road conditions, construction and congestion, via the web or phone – 24/7.
  • National Transportation Library
    Provides access to the NTL's repsoitory of full-text reports and regulations on a wide range of transportation topics, including aviation, bicycles, congestion, freight, GIS, high speed ground transportation, history, transit, travel demand forecasting, and more.
  • Transportation Library Collection
    This database, produced at Northwestern University, contains citation and location information for journal articles, conference papers, and other materials on all modes of transportation (air, rail, highway, water, pipeline) and law enforcement. Some materials may be held in the collections of the University of Minnesota Libraries. Check MNCAT for those holdings.
  • Transportation Links to the World
    This list, maintained by the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library, covers Minnesota related transportation WWW sites, federal information, industry news, research, statistical sites and more.

  • National Transportation Statistics
    Current and historical statistics from the U.S. Department of Transportation on transportation-related subjects including transportation as it relates to safety, the economy, energy, and the environment.

State and Regional Agencies U.S. and International Agencies
  • Transportation Research Board
    Transportation Research Board is a joint effort of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Research Council. The board works to resolve critical transportation issues facing the nation. Studies have examined highway speed limits, school bus safety, railroad tank car precautions, and ways to reduce crowded conditions at airports.
