Business Research Support for Students and Faculty

Table of Contents:

Consultations and Personal Assistance
Walk-in assistance is available to help you find business information or answer questions about sources or services. Business librarians provide individual training sessions that will improve your search skills and help you manage information with tools like RefWorks or Zotero. Let us know if you need resources you are not finding in MNCAT. Request an appointment with a business specialist or stop by during office hours:

Office Hours in Room 3-352 Carlson School of Management, 2-4:30 pm, on Tuesdays (Caroline Lilyard, Wednesdays (Judy Wells) and Thursdays (Van Houlson)

The Wilson Reference and Information Service also provides personal assistance on business topics--check the Wilson Library Hours for their availability. Need expert help from a specialist? See the options below for using our virtual services or contact a business librarian directly.

Virtual Reference Service
Chat with a Business Specialist
Use the chat box on the business website when active--mostly during afternoons on weekdays. This is a useful way to interact with an expert who will help you search for information and get a good start for different kinds of research projects.

Email Business Questions
Business librarians respond quickly to research questions from students and staff at the University of Minnesota.

AskUs! Service
Staff at the University Libraries provide general help navigating the library website, looking up sources, and finding books and journals. They are available 24 hours a day.
