    • Early Sources in Digital Form
      • Aleppo Codex
        Digitized version of the medieval bound manuscript of the Hebrew Bible. The codex was written in the 10th century A.D.
      • Digital Dead Sea Scrolls
        High-resolution images of the scrolls, plus short explanatory videos and background information on the texts and their history. Five complete scrolls from the Israel Museum have been digitized for the project at this stage and are now accessible online." Language of the Scrolls: Hebrew is the most common language, though a small number of scrolls are written in Aramaic, and a few in Greek. The most common script is the Jewish script, also called the "Assyrian" or "square" script, which was widely used from the sixth century BCE on. However, about 14 biblical scrolls are written in the ancient Hebrew script, and many texts use a cryptographic script, combining mirror writing and a mixture of Jewish, ancient Hebrew, and Greek scripts. Description and commentary are in English.

        • Word Made Flesh, The
          This online exhibit featured examples of biblical texts, including medieval manuscripts and facsimiles, from the University of Minnesota Libraries' Rare Books and Special Collections. Highlights included two leaves from the 42-line Gutenberg Bible; the original New Testament portion of the King James Bible; other early printings such as the Geneva Bible and the "Breeches" Bible; and related works stemming out of the Reformation such as publications, broadsides, and pamphlets from Martin Luther, Philip Melanchthon, and others.

    The product of a partnership between ATLA and the Weston Jesuit School of Theology, this database is a research and bibliographic aid for scholars, librarians, clergy and students of the New Testament and its historical milieu. NTA contains more than 38,000 article abstracts, 1,200 review abstracts, 13,500 book abstracts, and 50 software abstracts.   • Biblical Fonts
    Fonts from the Society of Biblical Literature. In order to foster biblical scholarship, The Society of Biblical Literature has collaborated with many organizations and individuals to develop fonts for biblical scholars. The SP Legacy Fonts, developed by James Adair, are available here. The SBL is developing a new series of high-quality fonts for digital and print use. Hebrew is the first in the series to be released.
