Berkeley Electronic Press (ResearchNow)
The U Libraries offer electronic access to all of the Berekely Electronic Press journals, and, in addition, to the ResearchNow platform --which is a digital commons for open access journals, preprints, working papers, technical papers, and other academic writings. The subject focus is business, economics, law, political science, healthcare, science, social sciences, but research on many cross disciplinary subjects is included in this growing database.

Their market analysis reports are available at the national and local levels down to the zip code. This monthly magazine on companies, people, and business in the Twin Cities is available as a digital edition in the American City Business Journal database. CEPR Discussion Papers
The The Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) network consists of over 750 Research Fellows and Affiliates based in over 237 different institutions in 28 countries (90% in the European Union). Because it draws on such a large network of researchers, CEPR is able to produce a wide range of research that reflects a broad spectrum of individual viewpoints and perspectives. The mission of the Centre is to to promote research excellence and policy relevance in European economics. The Centre has made contributions to a wide range of European policy issues for decades. The Centre disseminates its research through the CEPR Discussion Paper Series. It publishes almost 700 papers annually. Over 3000 Discussion Paper Abstracts are currently available online and all Discussion Papers published since the beginning of 1999 are available.

County Business Patterns (U.S. Census)
County Business Patterns is an annual series that provides subnational economic data by industry. The series is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses.

Businesses use the data for analyzing market potential, measuring the effectiveness of sales and advertising programs, setting sales quotas, and developing budgets. Government agencies use the data for administration and planning.

County Business Patterns covers most of the country's economic activity. The series excludes data on self-employed individuals, employees of private households, railroad employees, agricultural production employees, and most government employees. The County Business Patterns program has tabulated on a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) basis since 1998. Data for 1997 and earlier years are based on the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) System.

This series has been published annually since 1964 and at irregular intervals dating back to 1946. The comparability of data over time may be affected by definitional changes in establishments, activity status, and industrial classifications.

Current Index to Statistics -- Extended Database
Current Index to Statistics Extended Database is the Internet version of Current Index to Statistics, Applications, Methods and Theory, from the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. CIS is a bibliographic index to publications in statistics and related fields. It includes coverage, in most cases from 1974 (or first issue if later) to the present (currently, volumes published in 1998) from 106 "core journals" (and pre-1974 coverage for a number of them), selected articles since 1974 from about 900 additional journals, and about 8000 books in statistics published since 1974. Each year, the CIS-ED is updated with an additional year of coverage. Effective January 1, 2017, the Current Index to Statistics is free to the public and will remain open until December 31, 2019 when it will be shut down.

Some dissertations, beginning with 1997 publication dates, are available digitally. These include the University of Minnesota and other CIC member universities.

DOAJ Directory of Open Access Journals (OA)
Directory of Open Access Journals covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals of all subjects and languages. There are 5625 journals in the directory. Currently 2398 journals are searchable at the article level; ~468,000 articles are included in the DOAJ service.

ebrary is an ebook platform that hosts a wide variety of titles. To use features such as note taking and highlights, create a Bookshelf account.     The Global Financial Database is a collection of financial and economic data provided in ASCII or Excel format. There are 20,000 historical or current data series which may be downloaded directly from the web site. Global coverage includes stocks, bonds, treasury bills, interest rates, commodity prices, CPI, GDP, exchange rates, indexes, population and more.

    To access the database, click on the red LOGIN link located closer to the top of the page. In the next page, select "Login Anonymously" for library access.     A database of articles published in the Twin Cities Minnesota business press, created by the J.J. Hill Reference Library in St. Paul.     Key Business Ratios
    Key Business Ratios, from Dun and Bradstreet, help you to assess how a business is doing compared to an industry or a competitor. The 14 key business ratios cover the critical areas of business performance --solvency, efficiency and profitability. They are broken down into median figures, with upper and lower quartiles. Ratios are arranged by Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Codes -a four-digit number that classifies business establishments by defining the industries in which they do business.

    There is a known issue with this title in which the user may receive the error message "Disallowed Key Characters." Users can create customized maps and reports; data is available at the State, County, City, ZIP Code, Census Tract and Block Group level as well as custom trade area and the entire United States.

    Produced by the 25-nation Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), headquartered in Paris, together with the United States' Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the 31 nations of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT), Transport indexes journal articles, technical reports and conference papers on surface transportation systems including marine transportation and their components including highway, traffic, transport, road safety, and economic and social aspects of transportation systems.

    Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is the leading, comprehensive, web-based business data research service used by academic, government, and non-profit institutions. Developed in 1993 to support faculty research at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the service has since evolved to become a common tool for research for over 280 institutions around the world.

    WRDS supports a global research community of over 20,000 users in 27 countries.
