  • African American Newspapers (Accessible Archives)

See Database Description for detailed information about individual newspapers.
  • Ethnic NewsWatch

Feminists, dissident GIs, campus radicals and the New Left, Native Americans, anti-war activists, Black Power advocates, Hispanics, and members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community all began to publish newspapers. This large microfilm collection is shelved in the Newspaper Room at Wilson Library under Underground... Search the catalog for "underground newspaper collection" to find titles and use additional keywords to refine your search (labor, housing, feminism). There are also guides available on reference shelves next to the information at the Wilson Library Reference Desk Collection (see PN4784.U53 U54).
