Paging services

Magrath Library staff can get materials for patrons that need special assistance. Paging is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; and at other times when backup desk coverage is available. You can also request library materials through the Get It service.


The nearest accessible parking is located in Gortner Avenue Ramp, and Lot 104.

Building entrances

Easiest access is via the entrances on the north side of the building on Buford Ave. There is a power-assisted door on the basement-level door from the Gortner Ave. Ramp. Elevator access must be arranged by calling 612-624-2233.

Book return

Return library materials to the book drop on the north side of the building on Buford Avenue or at the Service desk. Here is more information on returning library materials.


An elevator serving the Ground, First and Second Floors is located in the main lobby. Access to the basement level requires staff assistance, and can be arranged during open hours by calling 612-624-2233.

Computers and adaptive technology

All public computers have either ZoomText or the accessibility suite of Windows Utilities (ctrl+U) installed. An Adaptive Technology lab is available in 307 Wilson Library, and the Get It service can be used to deliver materials from Magrath Library for pick-up in Wilson Library. The Computer Accommodations Program website has more information on adaptive technology available on campus.

Article delivery

Students, staff and faculty can request a journal article or a chapter from a book to be delivered electronically. (For delivery to the circulation desk of choice see Get It).

Proxy cards

Any student, staff, and faculty member with a mobility or visual impairment may request a proxy card for his or her personal assistant to charge out library materials. For further information contact the Circulation Desk at Wilson Library, (612) 624-3321.
