Jessica joined the Libraries in 2018, and her portfolio includes instruction, reference, outreach, and public services at the University of Minnesota Music Library.
Prior to her arrival at the University of Minnesota, she completed a Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Maryland, where she studied Italian-language comic opera of the mid-eighteenth century and the music of Antonio Salieri, and a Master of Library Science with a specialization in Music Librarianship at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Jessica is an active member of the Music Library Association, currently serving on the Membership Committee and the Career Development & Services Committee, as well as a co-coordinator of the Career Development & Services Committee's New Members Forum.

Bill Pederson, a Twin Cities native is the Circulation Desk Supervisor, and Reference & Reserve Coordinator at the Music Library.
He is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota, and a professional musician in the area. When not at the Music Library, you might hear Bill performing with the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers, or the Minnesota Chorale, or various Early Music ensembles.
Bill has a keen interest in Renaissance and Baroque vocal music, along with the connection between words and music throughout the Art Song genre.
