Wireless printing is available in most libraries for Mac (v. 10.8-10.10) and Windows (v. 7-10) platforms. To set up your laptop for wireless printing, download and install one of the printer drivers listed below.

Mac Printer Drivers (10.8-10.10)

Windows Printer Drivers (7-10)

Once you have downloaded and installed a printer driver, it should show up as a printer you can choose in any program on your computer. You must be logged into eduroam, U of M ethernet, or using the University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) to use wireless printing.

For help with setup, please visit any of our library service desks, or refer to our step-by-step tutorial of the installation process

Common Problems

  • You must be connected to the eduroam network (not the Guest network) to print wirelessly in the Libraries.
  • Mac users: if you get an error saying that you cannot install a program from an unidentified developer, you can override this by going to the Apple icon in the upper left, then System Preferences > Security and click on "Open Anyway" towards the bottom of the window.
