Tutor working with students

Exam Jam Saturday will be back Spring Semester 2017 with SMART's Peer Learning Consultants and MCAE's tutors available for Saturday tutoring hours along with free copies fo exams from SMART's test bank holdings. Watch this space for details!

SMART's trained Peer-Assisted Learning facilitators lead a series of content review workshops focusing on core concepts from the corresponding course. Registration does not guarantee a spot but will help us determine materials needed. We can only seat up until the room's capacity is reached, so arrive early!

The specific courses supported with review sessions varies from semester to semester, but a typical lineup will include CHEM 1015, CHEM 1061 or CHEM 1062, MATH 1031, MATH 1271 or MATH 1272, PHYS 1301W.

The session schedule goes up a few weeks before Exam Jam and supported courses receive in-class announcements and/or e-mail messages. Registration does not open when the schedule goes up but will be available after all in-class announcements have been made.

Peer Learning Consultants will be on hand immediately following the review sessions for individual and small-group tutoring.

The U Libraries’ Peer Research Consultants (a.k.a. Library Research tutors) are available to help with any last minute library or academic research questions. Need one more scholarly source to perfect that paper? Have questions on citing a source in APA or MLA? Need credible statistics? Worried you are citing fake news? Sit down or make an appointment to help find the sources you need efficiently! They work throughout the academic yyear in both MCAE and SMART as well as during Exam Jam. Check them out!

Walk-in tutoring/consulting is available through the last day of classes, and schedules are posted at the links below.

Exam Jam is presented by the SMART Learning Commons and the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE). Additional support from the President's Emerging Scholars Program
