Chemical Compounds

Information on over 4000 minerals, including crystallography, physical & optical properties and images, as well as links to other sites.

Contains terms and definitions from the USGS Geology of the National Parks website, which include minerals, geologic deposits, features, landforms and processes, and geologic time periods.

Handbooks and Manuals

Physical Property Data

Reaxys provides web-based access to chemical structure, reaction and property information; its contents are derived from Beilstein (organic compounds) and Gmelin (inorganic and organometallic compounds), which date to the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as selected English-language chemical patents (US,EP, and WO) from 1976-present).

The Treatise on Geophysics is an integrated summary of the present state of geophysics.

" annual publication that reviews the mineral and material industries of the United States and foreign countries. The Yearbook contains statistical data on materials and minerals and includes information on economic and technical trends and development. The Minerals Yearbook includes chapters on approximately 90 commodities and over 175 countries."
