Since its establishment in 1914, PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service) has chronicled issues in the public debate through highly selective coverage of a wide variety of sources, including references to monographs, periodical articles, notes and announcements, government documents, policy reports and analytics. Addition of the Archive to our current PAIS International database extends comprehensive access to public and social policy information.

States' Transportation Research Board (TRB) and the 31 nations of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT), Transport indexes journal articles, technical reports and conference papers on surface transportation systems including marine transportation and their components including highway, traffic, transport, road safety, and economic and social aspects of transportation systems.

MasterFILE Premier provides full text for more than 2,000 general magazines covering a broad range of disciplines. It includes Magill Book Reviews, reference and travel books, biographies, full text primary source documents, American Heritage Dictionary and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

The University Libraries also own a print edition of the Index covering from 1851-present. It includes a subject index to articles in the New York Times giving references to the date, page, and column of articles in the paper as well as brief synopses of the articles themselves.

The Minnesota Guidebook to State Agency Services provides a comprehensive look at Minnesota State Government. It includes key agency contacts, services provided by State agencies, opportunities for citizen participation in state policy making, licensing fees and requirements, and much more.
General Reference Works
Provides access to reports and articles from the CQ Weekly, CQ Researcher, CQ Public Affairs Collection and the CQ Voting and Elections Collection. The CQ Weekly provides nonpartisan information on Capitol Hill. The CQ Researcher and Public Affairs collections investigate a wide range of current topics, providing the pro's and con's of the issues.
Handbooks and Manuals
As the official handbook of the Federal Government, The United States Government Manual provides comprehensive information on the agencies of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches. The Manual also includes information on quasi-official agencies; international organizations in which the United States participates; and boards, commissions, and committees.
Laws and Legislation
This web site maintained by the Library of Congress contains the full-text of U.S. Public Laws, bill texts, committee reports and other legislative information from the 101st Congress (1989) to the present and citations to the same from the 93rd Congress (1973) through the 101st.

Transportation Research Board is a joint effort of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Research Council. The board works to resolve critical transportation issues facing the nation. Studies have examined highway speed limits, school bus safety, railroad tank car precautions, and ways to reduce crowded conditions at airports.
