Academic or Scholarly Articles Subject Indexes

Provides journal articles on topics such as mass media, film, television, marketing, business communication, health communication, and more.

This is the primary source of journal article for the health sciences. You can search MEDLINE and preMEDLINE databases with full text access to all MEDLINE e-journals subscribed to by the University of Minnesota TC Libraries. MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's bibliographic database/article index that contains over 17 million references to journal articles. Coverage is from 1949 to the present. Over 5200 journals worldwide in over 37 languages are accessible.

An abstract and citation database with a single search platform searching content from ScienceDirect, Scopus, SciTopics, and relevant Web content.

ProQuest Newsstand provides access to full-text national and regional newspapers such as The Boston Globe, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, USA TODAY, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and more.

Business Source Premier database includes both scholarly journals and periodicals in business, economics, political science and public administration.

Google Scholar is a great tool but does not necessarily have all the journals available from the library databases. Use it in addition to the other databases. Use Google Scholar through the Libraries' web site, or by setting your Scholar Preferences to the "University of Minnesota (FindIt@U of M Twin Cities) to gain access to full text.

To get full text, look for the text link, "FindIt@U of M Twin Cities", in your Google Scholar search results. Use Interlibrary Loan to get materials we do not have in full text or print.
