MNCAT Article Discovery is the Library's powerful new tool that simultaneously searches hundreds of databases, including popular ones such as JSTOR, Project MUSE and Medline. This is the automatic choice when you search from the "Articles and Databases" tab.

Academic or Scholarly Articles Subject Indexes

The world's largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for thousands of scholarly (peer-reviewed) publications.

This resource is licensed by the MINITEX Library Information Network with state appropriations from the Minnesota Higher Education Services Office (MHESO) and the Minnesota Department of Education.
Find business articles from 2100 journals and magazines in marketing, management, information technology, operations, human resources, accounting, finance and economics dating back to 1965. Business Source Premier includes company and industry reports MarketLine and country analysis from the Economist Intelligence Unit, Business Monitor International, CountryWatch, Icon Group, and PRS.

The ISI Web of Knowledge provides the Web of Science interface for institutional sitewide access to the ISI Citation products which cover over 8,000 international journals in the sciences, social sciences, and the arts and humanities. Titles of the print equivalent are: Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Book Citation, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Science Citation Index.

Full texts of articles in academic journals covering the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences. JSTOR provides backruns from the date of each journal's initial publication to recent issues. In some cases there may be a backlog of several years. JSTOR also increasingly offers the full texts of complete monographs, including books on music.

Libraries OneSearch is a powerful tool for searching across multiple library databases simultaneously. It saves you the time you would have previously spent searching each database separately. For example, you can look for articles and books in Academic Search Premier, PsycInfo, and MNCAT all at the same time rather than having to search each resource individually. It also links you directly to the full text of the article, if available via a library subscription, using the U of M Twin Cities Find It. If unavailable locally, Find It allows you to easily submit an Interlibrary Loan request so that the Libraries obtain a copy for you from another institution. OneSearch also allows you to create a personal collection of favorite records, databases, and search strategies for future use.

Index to full-text collection of journals in literary theory, classics, history and cultural studies, philosophy, film, theater and performing arts, political science, and mathematics. From Johns Hopkins University Press. The full text of a limited number of individual monographs is also available for titles that the Libraries have purchased. Users can limit their search results to include only the full text content that the University of Minnesota has access to.
