An abstract and citation database with a single search platform searching content from ScienceDirect, Scopus, SciTopics, and relevant Web content.
Search within a comprehensive interdisciplinary collection of journal article citations. Subjects generally covered are within Science and technology, arts and humanities, and social sciences . Use the citation web to find articles and journals with the most impact. Coverage runs from 1975 to the present. Help can be found on their website.
Catalogs & Indexes to Government Publications
The bibliographic records in this file represent the document series produced by NASA's predecessor, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), as well as various other aviation reports.
Provides citation with abstracts mostly to technical reports relating to aerospace research. Covers NASA documents published since 1962, and NACA documents from 1915-1960. Many of the reports indexed can be found on microfiche in the Science and Engineering Library.
General Reference Sources
A reference for engineers and students, this volume devotes more than 300 pages to theoretical and experimental considerations. It progresses from elementary materials to methods used in the design of NACA low-drag airfoils, and it presents techniques for using wing-section data to predict wing characteristics. Requires differential and integral calculus and elementary mechanics.
General Reference Works
Knovel provides online access to reference books, databases, and conference proceedings from a number of publishers that cover all areas of engineering and includes content relevant to related sciences (e.g., chemistry and earth sciences). It includes interactive graphs and tables and is a good starting point when you need a piece of data quickly.
Handbooks and Manuals
A condensed collection of "commonly used engineering reference data to assist the design engineer in creating and defining practical aerospace products." Published by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Available online or in print at Walter Library.
Introduces the procedures and practices of civil aircraft design involving conflicting requirements of performance, quality, safety, and environmental issues.
A comprehensive handbook for Aerospace engineers.
