About
Reporting to the Music Metadata Librarian (Kristi Bergland), Joshua catalogs music materials (scores, sound recordings, video recordings). Current projects include cataloging and collection development guides for video game music and impacts of video game collections in libraries. He also currently contributes to the planning of the University of Minnesota Libraries' Video Game Collection serving as selector for the pilot project.
His interests in librarianship include music and media cataloging and metadata, video games in libraries, video game music in libraries, and music licensing. Outside of UMN, he serves as the Library and Licensing Manager in the Twin Cities Gamer Symphony Orchestra leading a team to provide library and licensing services to the orchestra.
