Public access
- Currently, most buildings on the Twin Cities campus are U Card-only access, which includes our library buildings. The U Card is an identification card for current UMN students, faculty, and staff.
- However, Wilson Library provides access to the public during the week (M-F 9AM-6PM, closed weekends) to all non-affiliate users through this appointment process.
- Access to Health Sciences Library is available M-Th 8AM-7PM, F 8AM-6PM for Friends of the Libraries, Library Special Borrowers, or Guest card holders. Users do not need to make an appointment in advance and access is administered by University Security staff at public entrances during public hours.
- Access to Elmer L. Andersen library is available, by appointment only, during the regular hours of M-F 9AM-5PM. Email [email protected] to set up an appointment.
- We will continue to update library hours on lib.umn.edu.
- UMN Libraries has compiled a list of freely available research resources.
- ELibraryMN contains information on health and wellness, news, job searching, and more.
- Community members also can search for materials, including those from the University of Minnesota, via MNLINK and request delivery to their local public library.
