Scott Marsalis

Social Sciences Librarian: Family Social Science, Kinesiology, and Social Work

Academic Programs; 86 Magrath Library

As liaison to the School of Social Work, School of Kinesiology and Dept. of Family Social Science I am the contact person for students, faculty and staff looking for information to support their research and teaching. I’m a ‘search geek’ and love the hunt for information, and am passionate about helping others to be more effective and efficient in their own research. Please contact me to set up a class presentation, a one-on-one consultation, or for help tracking down that elusive article.

I’m also the Collections Coordinator for the St. Paul Campus libraries, coordinate reference for Magrath Library, and promote social justice initiatives through service on the Libraries’ Diversity Outreach Collaborative.

Workshops taught:

In addition to customized presentations for individual classes, I regularly teach RefWorks Basics, Google: Advanced Searching for Researchers, Searching for Grant Funding
