Mendeley is a free citation and file management application. The University of Minnesota does not pay for a subscription to Mendeley. All of the features listed below are available for free by creating a an account.
With Mendeley you can:
- Create a database of citations by easily selecting items from your browser.
- Manage your PDFs.
- Sync your database to the Web.
- Tag files, organize them into folders, annotate, and share with others (including annotations/notes).
- Create bibliographies in a variety of styles, or export bibliographic data to other citation management applications like Zotero and EndNote.
