Director and Associate University Librarian, Health Sciences
Janice Jaguszewski has held numerous appointments in the University of Minnesota Libraries over the past 20 years and has been Director and Associate University Librarian for the Health Sciences since 2011. Most recently, she was appointed Interim Associate University Librarian for the Sciences, adding the physical, agricultural and biological sciences, as well as engineering, to her portfolio. She is currently focused on developing services to support eLearning, interdisciplinary research, and data management and informatics in the Academic Health Center and the Colleges of Science & Engineering, Biological Sciences, and Food, Agriculture and the Natural Sciences. In addition, she is interested in how library spaces may be repurposed to meet the evolving needs of students and faculty.
Janice is a member of the Association of Academic Health Science Libraries and the Medical Library Association, and was an active member of the Science and Technology Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries before moving into her new role. She has published and presented on future roles for academic librarians, professional development for librarians, and various topics related to the transition from print to electronic resources.
